A full-bodied beard and mustache is considered a sign of virility in men.

Men who prefer to keep a mustache and beard, whether for cultural or aesthetic reasons, get a sense of confidence from having thick and strong facial hair.

However, not everyone is blessed with a full face of mustache and beard.

To rectify this, TecniFUE Hair Clinic offers beard and mustache transplant that can help you get the facial hair you have always wanted.

What is a Beard and Mustache Transplant?

A beard and mustache transplant involves taking hair grafts from donor sites on the lower part of the chin or the back of head and implant it in areas that have sparse hair or where hair has been lost due to cut or trauma.

This is a minimally-invasive form of surgery and is done under local anesthesia.

The procedure lasts anywhere between 6 to 8 hours and is painless. With a single session, the chances of getting a thick beard and mustache are high.

One of the best benefits of beard and mustache transplant is that they will be shaped during the planning stage of the transplant.

A beard that is the right shape for the person’s face is chosen and the hair is transplanted in that form for life-long results.

FUE Beard and Mustache Transplant

At TecniFUE Hair Clinic, we use a technique called the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) to successfully transplant beard and mustache.

Our surgeon will define the extraction and the implantation zones and take out the required number of grafts from the zone, typically from the back of the head where hair is denser.

Typically, a beard and mustache implantation will require about 1,500 - 2.000 grafts. If you want to get a goatee, only 500 to 600 grafts are needed.

Once the follicles are extracted, they are then positioned correctly in the implantation channels.

The surgery can last anywhere between 2 to 6 hours and involves the use of cutting-edge technology, including the use of micromotor punches and sapphire blade for the best outcomes.

How Does Mustache and Beard Transplantation Work?

If you have decided to get a hair and mustache transplant, you will first need a consultation appointment with our surgeon in which you will discuss your preference.

During this interview, you will also need to provide the surgeon with your medical records, including any conditions you have or medications you take.

Our surgeon will then create a personalized beard and mustache transplantation plan for you.

The doctor will determine the extraction and implantation zones for the graft.

The extraction and implantation of the hair graft will be performed by a micromotor punch.

The procedure is painless and can last anywhere from 2 hours to 6 hours, depending on how many grafts you need.

Once the procedure is completed, the surgeon will apply a topical healing cream to the skin and instruct you not to wash your face for about three days.

It takes time for the implanted hair to reattach to your skin, so you will be advised to sleep on your back for the next two weeks and avoid any contact with your skin.

During the next six months, make sure not to expose your face to the sun as that can interfere with healing.

If you have to go out, make sure to apply a sunblock cream with a high SPF. Also, do not use any soap, shaving creams, or cosmetics on your face until after a month of the beard and mustache implant.

After about 6 to 8 months, the implanted area will start to show results.

Your mustache and beard will become thick and dense in about 12 months after the treatment, provided you have followed all the surgeon’s instructions correctly.
